Kaitlin Shipman

  • Personal trainer

Kaitlin's passion for health and exercise biomechanics derived from her experience as a collegiate softball athlete and hours spent in the weight room. Having a great strength and conditioning coach and encouraging undergraduate professors inspired Kaitlin to use her knowledge to help others achieve a healthy lifestyle.

After deciding to finish her time as a collegiate athlete early, she focused on earning her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology while working as a physical therapist (PT) aide. Her role as a PT aide provided valuable knowledge and experience in working with patients with various limitations. Kaitlin also interned with the California State University, Monterey Bay Strength and Conditioning Athletic Department where she coached collegiate athletes using sport-specific programing, injury prevention techniques, and recovery exercises. These programs included Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, plyometrics, mobility exercises, dynamic warm-ups, cool-downs, and functional movement screens.

Kaitlin’s athletic and rehabilitation background, along with her experience in working with diverse populations, led her to begin her personal training and group fitness career. Her goal is to help others build a foundation and develop skills for a healthier and stronger lifestyle.
